Kamala Harris, who is now the Vice President of the United States, spent five transformative years as a teenager in Montreal, Canada. Harris moved to Montreal when her mother, Shyamala Gopalan Harris, a breast cancer researcher, took a position at McGill University.
Living in Montreal from the age of 12 until she graduated from high school, these years were instrumental in shaping her worldview and perspective. She attended Westmount High School, a diverse and multicultural institution which is known to
