Nebraska lawmakers vote against Trump-fueled push to change electoral vote system

Nebraska legislators have voted against the proposed initiative to alter the state’s current electoral vote system. The motion, driven in part by former President Donald Trump’s ideological impact, aimed to change Nebraska’s unique method of allocating its electoral votes proportionally according to congressional district results.
