The Ebury botnet has been a significant force in the world of cyber crime, targeting unpatched servers and subsequently infecting them to steal sensitive data. ESET, a well-known internet security company, in collaboration with the Dutch Police, have exposed an operation by this botnet which involved stealing cryptocurrency.
