Chip Roy demands sanctions on ICC officials going after US, Israel

by admin May 8, 2024
May 8, 2024

Republican Texas Rep. Chip Roy is advocating for sanctions against officials at the International Criminal Court (ICC) who are pursuing allegations against the United States and Israel. He believes that these actions are politically motivated and unfair. The congressman particularly opposes investigations into alleged war crimes committed by the U.S. in Afghanistan and by Israel in Palestinian territories. Enforcement measures could include visa restrictions, financial limitations, and other punitive measures. However, such action would require approval from the Department of State and could potentially inflame diplomatic tensions
